Beachy Candle Holder

During a trip to Lake Erie, I gleaned several pieces of drift wood off the beach.   These can be used in all sorts of decorating ideas.  I chose to make a candle holder with one of the pieces.

You will need:

Driftwood

beach themed decorations

a tea light candle

hot glue

First decide where you want to place your candle and then attach it with (what else!) hot glue,

you can attach other pieces as well, making sure it sits level on the table as you add each piece.  Here I used the wood, a tea light and a piece of coral to form the base.

Next, I placed beach themed decorations where I liked them, making sure they were not near the flame of the candle.  I used a pelican figurine, some moss, small shells and a small starfish.

So now you have a cute centerpiece, coupled with the napkin holders I made from shell roses and complimented with last month’s wine charms,  I set my table scape for an intimate

sea side themed wine and cheese tasting party.
