My second pet peeve about cell phone chargers, is the one for my personal phone, I don’t seem to have a place to put it near an outlet, so it winds up on the floor or I move furniture to hold the phone while it charges. Using the same Deco Den medium, some acrylic paint, a moveable wall hanger and a left over plastic container from some French fried onions, I set out to solve this problem.
I made a pattern from a sheet of copy paper to fit around the onion container, then, taped it in place and traced around it.
Next, I cut around the pattern with a craft knife and punched a hole in the back top large enough that the moveable hanger would fit easily.
I piped on two rows of Deco Den, one white, one black and then put some lady bug buttons in the still wet medium. It took it a couple of days to dry completely.
Once dry, I applied two coats of matching acrylic paint all around the plastic and tied in the lady bug theme with black dots of acrylic paint. I used the end of a glue stick to make the dots.
Once dried, I applied a good coat of spray sealer .
Then I found a handy place near an outlet and attached my holder to the wall. It is just the right size to hold the phone and cord.
With a plastic container the right size for your phone, you can customize these in any way you choose to match your phone and your personality. I hope if you make one, you will share a picture with us.
