Spinach and Ham Pinwheels
Oven at 350
On a cookie sheet roll out one sheet of packaged of crescent dough.
Spread a thick mixture of cheese spread made of 8 oz. whipped cream cheese and 6.5 oz. Alouette Garlic and Herb cheese.
Layer with fresh baby spinach and then very thinly sliced smoked ham.
Roll tightly from the long end, pinch seam shut and cut into 12 pieces.
Bake on a cookie sheet for 15 to 20 minutes, until perfectly golden brown.
Garnish as desired.
Fraulein’s Sweet/Spicy Chicken Bites
oven at 350
Cut one pound of bacon into three sections per slice.
Cut one pound of boneless, skinless chicken breasts into bite sized pieces (about 1/2 inch by 1 and 1/4 inch slices).
Roll up each piece of chicken into a bacon slice and secure with a toothpick.
Make a dredge mixture from 2/3 Cup of Brown Sugar and 2 Tablespoons of chili powder.
Coat each chicken roll in the dredge mixture and place on a rack on a cookie sheet.
Bake about 30 minutes and then drizzle with your choice of sauce.
For each skillet you will need:
1/4 pound spicy sausage, cooked until crumbly with a little onion.
Enough hash brown potatoes to cover the bottom of the skillet – browned.
2 eggs whisked with 2 Tbl. of milk
An uncooked biscuit
Shredded Cheese of your choice
Spread the cooked hash browns in the bottom of the skillet
Place an uncooked biscuit in the center
Spoon cooked sausage around the biscuit
Pour egg mixture over the sausage
Bake in a pre heated oven at 375 for 16 to 18 minutes until the biscuit is brown and the eggs are set
Sprinkle shredded cheese over all and return to the oven just long enough to melt the cheese
These skillets will be HOT, so use a hot pad to remove them from the oven.
